I live in India and when I wished to purchase a classic car from USA, I was somewhat skeptical as to whether the condition of the vehicle would be actually what was advertised. After some inquiries, I was told to contact Roy and get an appraisal done. He was recommended as a very honest, diligent and efficient appraiser who would do a very thorough study of the car and take as many photographs as would be necessary to convey a true and fair picture on the condition of the vehicle. January 28, 2016 was a life changing point for me. I engaged Roy Da Silva to perform a pre-purchase inspection of a 1965 Corvette coupe. I had a number of concerns all of which Roy addressed. Shelby Cobra’s are simply a fantastic car, with a stoic race history and nostalgic classic appeal that has endured for decades. As a long-time admirer of the 1965 Shelby Cobra, I’d hoped one day to have the privilege of owning such a distinguished vehicle. Reaching a point in my life where that option became a potential reality, I began to search for just the right one. As a documentation/collateral manager I was put in charge of getting multiple rare high-value vehicles appraised for a financing transaction we were working on. I reached out to multiple “vintage/rare care specialists” I found on the web just to hear “sorry can’t help you – not qualified to appraise what you have”, however many of those recommended Roy as the expert when it came to one-of-a-kind and very rare vintage vehicle appraiser. I reached out to Roy, and within a very short amount of time we were able to get him going on the appraisals. Throughout the whole process, Roy was always keeping me in the loop as to his progress. Roy was very professional, always returned phone calls and very proactive. Recently a ’47 Buick Roadmaster Convertible caught my attention. It was for sale in another state about a ten hour drive away. I knew that I needed an independent, unbiased person to inspect the vehicle. I saw pictures on-line and was too enamored by the car to remain objective. So I “googled” inspectors in the general region where the vehicle was located, and I sent emails to prospective inspectors. Roy Dasilva answered my email and called me to discuss the situation. Fortunately for me Roy was going to be traveling in the vicinity of the vehicle in the near future. He understood how interested I was in this particular Buick and he essentially rearranged his travel plans to fit in my inspection. The dealership called my later that day to inform me that they were very impressed by how thorough his inspection was. After a thorough search regarding finding a qualified PPI technician to inspect a Lamborghini Murcielago (although he's more than just that).

I retained Roy to perform a pre-purchase inspection on a 1968 Camaro. The inspection was conducted very professionally; resulting in a thorough and detailed report. The inspection provided me with insight to the vehicle that may have been overlooked by me if I did not retain Roy's services. I began the search for my first collectible car… a Sunbeam Tiger. Roy Da Silva is a true professional. I contacted Roy to have my vehicle appraised after an auto accident. He met with me at my convenience to view the vehicle and put together a comprehensive report in a timely manner. Roy was recommended to me by a muscle car dealer in Illinois. I was looking to buy a 69 Z28 that I liked but wanted a professional to inspect it. Roy did a timely, very detailed inspection and provided me a very nice report with plenty of photos and detailed information included. I did not end up buying the car because it did not have the DZ 302 engine I was expecting and was very grateful for Roy’s assessment because there was no way I would have known that. He did not try to push me to buy or not buy it, he gave me the facts and let me decide.

About a year later a very low mileage Buick Grand National became available. Again, I asked Roy to inspect it because I wanted to ensure it was as advertised as these vehicles have started to skyrocket in price. I gave Roy my wish list of about 10 cars I was considering bidding on but the problem was I could not attend the auction in person to inspect anything. It was one of the cars Roy had suggested when he was looking at cars that I hadn’t had on my list. I had a similar one on my list but did not see the one Roy had picked out when I was browsing the auction site. When he picked it out and showed me the pictures, I immediately made it my 3rd choice. The car is in phenomenal shape, it looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. I’m thrilled with the service that Roy provided and he’s my go to guy for all my future purchases.
